CBI has filed a case against the officials of Secunderabad Cantonment Board who allegedly conspired with the builders to put-up unauthorized constructions in the Cantonment area.
There are about 1187 unauthorised constructions in Secunderabad Cantonment. These comprise of both deviations from the sanctioned building plan as well as constructions carried out without sanction from the Competent Authority.
The CBI enquiry and the departmental enquiries are going on. Action against the unauthorised constructions is being taken by the Cantonment Board under the provisions of the Cantonments Act, 2006.
